The CREST Science & Technology Fair aims to bring together the best project work carried out in schools, colleges and industry throughout North East England. The Fair includes the CREST regional finals as well as other sponsored prizes. The Fair will take place as part of the Big Bang North East and you are welcome to enter the same project into more than one area during the Fair.

To register your team with completed CREST project please contact Anna Fraszczyk @ anna.fraszczyk@ncl-coll.ac.uk by 12pm on Friday 19th June 2009. CREST projects (Bronze, Silver and Gold) should be completed between June 2008 and June 2009.

Location: St Peter's Campus, Sunderland University
Description: Number of teams of students from schools in the North East will present their CREST projects and display outcomes (posters etc). Judges (mainly STEM Ambassadors) will be walking around, checking the displays, chatting to students about the projects and judge them.

Are you a STEM Ambassador? We have a number of activities for you in the next few weeks. Help us to make a difference...

1. Maths on the Beach
Date: Thursday 25th June
Time: 9am-3pm
Location: Seaburn, Sunderland
Description: Maths Trail Event for students from primary and secondary schools. They will be given Maths tasks to solve and Ambassadors will be need to help and explain simple Maths if necessary.

2. CREST Fair
Date: Wednesday 1st July
Time: 10am
Location: Sunderland University
Description: Number of teams of students from schools in the North East will present their CREST projects and display outcomes (posters etc). Judges will be asked to walk around, check the displays, chat to students about the projects and judge them.

3. Enterprise Challenge
Date: Thursday 2nd July
Time: 9am
Location: Whitburn Comprehensive, South Tyneside
Description: 2 STEM Ambassadors from car industry or engineers are needed to help with Science and Technology Day. Students will be give different task and Ambassadors will help to solve them.

4. STEM Ambassadors celebration event
Date: Thursday 9th July
Time: 5pm
Location: Beamish Museum
Description: Annual STEM Ambassadors celebration evening for volunteers form the North East. Chance to meet with other Ambassadors, network and have fun @ Beamish!

5. STEM Day
Date: Monday 11th July
Time: 9am - 2pm
Location: St Anthony\'s, Sunderland
Description: 10 STEM Ambassadors with different STEM Background needed to deliver 1hr activity repeated 4 times
