An exciting opportunity to have a maths E&E activity at your school and help integrate it in school practice
Grants of up to £500 and guidance on choosing mathematics E&E activities listed in the online STEM Directories (www.stemdirectories.org.uk) are being offered by the Royal Institution (Ri, www.rigb.org), funded by The Clothworkers’ Foundation. The scheme is designed to enhance the mathematical experience in schools, support teachers’ professional development, and raise awareness and use of enrichment activities and of the www.stemdirectories.org.uk website.
There are a limited number of grants (about 40) so please apply at the earliest. Preference will be given to schools that have not had external E&E activities in mathematics in recent years. Below are the entitlements and expectations of the grant scheme and an application form. We plan to allocate grants by 15 December 2009, with the funded E&E activities taking place over the 2010 Spring or Summer term.
